The State University of New York Association for Institutional Research and Planning Officers was formally organized in June of 1982 to:

• provide an avenue for members to express themselves on matters of current and mutual concerns related to the practice of policy analysis, research, planning and information-based management in postsecondary institutions;
• disseminate information and facilitate a free interchange of ideas on problems and issues of common interest;
• and to promote the continuing professional development of its members.

AIRPO's membership includes approximately 80 IR professionals from all corners of New York State.Winter Workshops and Annual Conferences provide valuable settings for discussion, training, idea exchange, and networking.

Membership is open to any individual and institution involved or interested in institutional research or planning for postsecondary institutions. Current annual dues are $25.
